Root development and drought resistance

We are interested in identifying the genes that promote root development in rice, even under stress conditions such as water scarcity or high soil salinity. To achieve this goal, we have developed plants with a more extensive root system, using both the introgression of loci from exotic varieties and gene editing techniques.
