Beneficial endophytic bacteria

Root endophytic bacteria can enhance root performance in soil and contribute to overall plant health, increasing resilience even under conditions of low fertilization and environmental stress. As part of the RICEBIOTA project, funded by Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), and coordinated by Vittoria Brambilla, in collaboration with Giampiero Valè (Università del Piemonte Orientale), Elena Perrin (Università di Firenze) and Carmen Bianco (CNR Napoli), we investigate the molecular basis of plant–bacteria interactions. Our goal is to gain a deep understanding of the mechanisms underlying this symbiosis, in order to fully harness its potential for sustainable agriculture.
